About Maria

Even though Maria only found her passion for harp in her early 30's, she has always had an intense love affair with all things music. Inspired by both rock/progressive rock and symphonic music of the 20th century, Maria has been carving her own path in the world of harp music - from performing her own harp arrangements of songs by bands such as Yes, Marillion, Genesis and The Police, working with charities in care settings, to playing improvised sets out in nature for spiritual retreats and ceremonies and working with the local folk ensembles.

Maria's arrpoach to music has always been heart-led and closely intertwined with her sense of spirituality, beauty and harmony. In April 2026 Maria has started studying Harp Therapy with the International Harp Therapy Program EU Campus in the Netherlands. As a student of this ancient tradition of healing, she is developing new offerings which will include one to one sessions, harp meditations for small groups and harp-based sound baths.
